Laptop Magazine Looks at the Audiovox SMT5600
"Billed as the world';s smallest Windows Mobile phone, the Audiovox SMT5600 is a smart buy for those who want all of their Outlook contacts, calendar, e-mail, and other PIM data readily accessible on their phone but don';t want to carry around a PDA-sized device. This handset is also a great entertainer because of its compatibility with the new Windows Media Player 10. Put simply, there are few smart phones that are as good as this one for work and play. Weighing 3.6 ounces and measuring less than an inch thick, the SMT5600 is definitely one of the most pocketable smart phones yet."
Overall it looks like the Audiovox has nailed down the "Editors Choice" and walks away with a 4 out of 5 stars. The only things that Tim Kridel from Laptop Magazine didn't like about the SMT5600 was the camera, and the navigation control. I can totally agree with the camera comments, but it's not like I bought the phone for the camera. I'll stick to using my Canon S400 for any real pictures I want to snap. And while the navigation control does take some getting use to, in the long run, I actually prefer this to the old joystick on my Tanager.
