So you're saying that you don't feel that $3000 for a small handbag is ridiculous overpriced?

Guys, relax. Don't be so judgemental. People spend money on what brings them joy. That's what money is for. Trust me, most folks I know would think your crazy for spending over $300, and in many cases, over $500, for a glorified organizer. It's got nothing to do with being frugal, it's spending your money on what YOU find important. Just because you don't agree with someone else's choice is no reason to judge.
Nah, I'm not being judgemental (I know the remark wasn't leveled at me though)...

Remember also, our friend Maximus is a newlywed! Let's see if he's still buying $3000.00 handbags five years from now!

Actually, that came from her own salary. We both work, and we agreed that my salary is allocated for daily expenses (mortgage, living, travelling, apartment maintenance, car maintenance, household stuffs, movie, books, electronics, etc.) ... whats left goes into saving, while hers goes straight into saving.

My husband and I split living expenses, and all remaining income is separate. That way, we can buy what we want without too much grief from the other. That being said, we're both on the cheap side anyway. I certainly have never spent $3K on any item of clothing or clothing accessory. I, personally, would rather get a $200 bag and a $2800 laptop.

Today was a short jaunt. I had in my Podzilla: a Lil'Sync cable, the auto adapter for it, a spare SD card, my Sennheiser PX 200 headphones (highly recommended :way to go a cheapo cell phone just in case and the clip that came with my Piel Frama case. On my person was my iPaq 5550 in a Vaja case and my SE T68.
