SECURE SMS Released
Secure SMS is a secure mobile text messaging solution for governments, enterprises and/or individual who wants to transmit and/or receive sensitive and confidential information securely from handset-to-handset. Using Secure SMS, someone can send/receive sensitive data such as financial data, healtcare data or other personal-related data to/from others who employ Secure SMS application in his/her handset. Using Secure SMS is very similar to using standard SMS. It is already featured with easy-to-use SMS editor to compose and browse messages. All you need is just create your text messages, set the recipients and send it.
Not like others, our Secure SMS does not depend on the specific cellular service or content provider, it also does not depend on the specific cellular handset. Our Secure SMS is application of your own. Anyone can have it, install it and use it for his/her personal purposes. It provides you the end-to-end message encryption by incorporating a full featured AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) cryptographic algorithm. AES is one of the most popular algorithms used in symmetric key cryptography for encrypt (encipher) and decrypt (decipher) information. AES was announced by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as U.S. FIPSPUB 197 (FIPS 197) [PDF, 273K] on November 26, 2001 and is adopted as an encryption standard by the U.S. government.
SMS INTERCEPTION
Currently, standard SMS is non-secure. It can be intercepted along the transmission path at multiple intercept point (aggregators, carriers, infrastructure providers, or tower operators). The content is transmitted as a plain text making it easy to eavesdrop. In this situation context, Secure SMS will encrypt the content of your SMS before it is sent over the communication network. So in case if it is intercepted or eavesdropped, the content is still safe from the unauthorized access. If accidently, you send the SMS message to the wrong number (to the recipient other than you intend to), your SMS is still safe.
APPLICABILITY
Secure SMS can be installed in any GSM and/or CDMA cellular handset as long as it has Windows Mobile Operation System (minimum version 6). It then can be used in either GSM or CDMA network from any cellular operator.
