Boy Genius Report Shows Off Pics of Treo 850? "How about we start out with an exclusive dose of some live shots of the Palm Treo 850! Truth be told, this puppy is pretty smooth looking! Details are still coming in but we can tell you it’s sporting a 400 MHz processor and 100 MB of RAM."

It's not bad-looking, and certainly a lot less dated than the existing Treo look.  I presume this device has a 320x320 screen, which would give it a halfway decent DPI.  We don't have any details or confirmations yet, but we'll make sure to update you guys when we do.

Looks like the Centro with round talk and end buttons. Meh. I've never been impressed with Palms, especially the stability factor in their WinMo phones.

If you look at the title of the running application, and compare the length on an existing "normal" 240x320 display, you'll notice that it looks exactly the same.
Coming to a single conclusion: this is not a 320x320 screen, but only 240x240.

It is not only more stable than my Tilt, but also far easier to use for the two things I use it for the most: Email and Phone. The Tilt is, in my opinion, a more impressive phone. It has a bigger screen, a much better camera, a cool tilting screen, a built in GPS, more memory, faster processor. All of these features are impressive, and so is my cousin's Ferrari. Nonetheless, he still drives his Honda every day, and curses every time his Ferrari acts up.

The Treo is definitely not impressive. Its just a better device for someone, like me, who chooses to use his phone as his mobile office. I don't want to call the landlord every 3rd day because the Air Conditioning is acting up, and I don't want to reset my phone every 3rd time I end a phone call. |

I think the basic design look pretty good, and it looks a fair bit thinner than previous versions, which is great. But 240 x 240? Come on Palm. 320 x 320 would have been a reasonable step up, if not 480 x 480.
