File Stacking? Feature? Bug?
I believe I've stumbled upon a bug or incomplete "feature" in the Zune Software. This maybe something everyone but me knows about. But I recently decided to do some spring cleaning in my Music library, checking to make sure I had equivalent amounts of Files and Songs listed in the Zune Library. I stumbled upon an Album I had that was missing 3 tracks in the Zune Library. After figuring out which tracks were missing I attempted to figure out why they were not present in the Zune Library. The Files where Mr. Brightside (Demo 1), Mr. Brightside (Demo 2), and Mr. Brightside (Demo 3). After spending frustrating days poking and analyzing the files for corruption and restarting my Zune database more times I could count I noticed that the files were showing up when played, switching between the three.

I decided at last that there was nothing wrong with the files, but yet the zune software. Just to make sure I grabbed different MP3's from another Album and stripped the Tags and manually rentered the information using MP3Tag and produced the same results. I'm not sure why this is happening. I was wondering if anyone could reproduce the same results. One thing I want to note is that I don't think this happens when the tracks have a track number value. This Album is something I've complied out of Singles and Demos and other odds and ends. Rather than have a million different Albums, I decided to Place them in one whole. I don't like have Track Numbers because the files are sorted Alphabetically when none are present, this makes adding new tracks less of a pain and neater. Lets just say I'm not happy but this has been a learning experience. ((Eye Twitches))
P.S. I Apologize if this forum has a policy against large photos. I'm also running 2.5
