HTC Touch Slide (Nike) In the Flesh

Superior Gadgets News has pictures of the upcoming HTC Nike, which is set to be released as the Touch Slide by HTC, and the HT1100 by NTT DoCoMo in Q1 2008. It's worth noting that the Touch Slide has a slightly different keypad layout to the HT1100 - notably, the inclusion of SureType on the former. Specs-wise, we can expect it to pack a 400MHz CPU, 128MB RAM, 256MB ROM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, and Windows Mobile 6 Professional. Now, who here wants one?

Original Touch has great form factor and really nice design, but it's also slow and underpowered.
This one looks to be much better deal. So it's basically a tradeoff between Kaiser with it's slide out Querty and Nike with design and form factor...

I think I found the perfect device for me. If all things reported holds true and with the size of the unit this will be the ultimate device for my needs.
As far as GPS goes pdadb.net shows GPS on the Nike.

I have had a HTC Touch for a few months now and LOVE it!
The slider plus upgraded cpu, ROM and RAM make this extremely attractive yet I have heard it does NOT have WiFi... which makes it a deal-breaker for me.

Yep, the Dual Touch is now on the front-page of the site. HTC's official product page and product flyers make no mention of Wi-Fi, which is a real shame.

With 3G and 3.5G support why would one need WiFi, anyway WiMax is around the corner anyway.
