SBSH Releases PhoneWeaver "PhoneWeaver is a phone management application designed to help control your phone state parameters using profiles in the most intuitive way. Using profiles you can link between your phone state and your agenda, time of day and much more. Using PhoneWeaver you can define smart profiles that are activated manually or automatically based on the time, appointments or phone state. Each smart profile can fully control the state of your phone radio, Wi-Fi, push mail, Bluetooth, ringer, vibrate state and much more! PhoneWeaver also adds a clean and straightforward plugin to your Today screen, allowing you to view and control the currently active profile. PhoneWeaver is the best way to link your information stored on your mobile device with your device phoning capabilities!"

SBSH has just released PhoneWeaver, a lightweight application that adds advanced profile functionality to Pocket PC Phones. PhoneWeaver supports manual, time-based, and event-based profiles with audio, radios, and backlight serving as changeable parameters. It also includes a compact Today plug-in, and supports devices with VGA displays, Windows Mobile 6, and multiple languages. Interested? Head over to our affiliate software store and grab a copy for $14.95. Alternatively, if you've been seeing a few too many four-leaf clovers as of late, stick around and you just might hit gold in our PhoneWeaver contest that's set to kick off tomorrow.

			 Hi T-Will

There is definitely a good chance of this happening - but we'll probably need a bit more time to have this ready and completed

I hope that we will have more news on this topic in the near future!

			 Nice application Amit.

I really like the auto profiles. To me it is just super cool to sit my device in its powered cradle in the car and have it automatically turn Bluetooth on, set my backlight where I like it, and launch my GPS app, all on its own...way too cool. Thanks

 Dave

			 Many thanks Dave!
I'm really glad to see that the application is useful!
We are also looking to see how we can implement profiles that will be activated by BT device detection, so you can switch to a special profile once a certain BT is detected(such as your car headset/speaker, GPS receiver and similar). This was a really great suggestion posted from one of our users and hopefully we will be able to add this one too

I've missed the auto silencing during meetings since I switched from a Smartphone to a Pocket PC Phone (Cingular 8125). Getting this back with the small memory footprint - I'm already pushing my 8125 - would be great.

If you could get it to trigger profiles/actions based on BT devices - that would just rock my world. I have BT handsfree in my car and a BT GPS receiver, so being able to automate some of the steps involved in using either would be fantastic!

			 how big is the footprint?

i would assume that it is recommended that this be installed in main memory?

 | Foot print is a little over 300kb. I personally install to main memory, but there are users putting it on the SD with no issues (and it was tested this way). |

 | Hi Nick,

This is definitely something that we are exploring and we hope to be able and incorporate something like this too with upcoming updates Only reason we can't make any promises at this stage is that we still need to investigate technical things and so on.. but we will be sure to explore and investigate this too |

One of your competitors just released their's and is has a profile that activates based on detecting a BT device. Unfortunately Bluetooth has to be on which kind of kills it. However with you auto profile where it picks up being pluged into power which can then active BT, if it then detected a GPS receiver being turned on and could be set to active a GPS navigation application, this would be very cool. |
