Default How to get the HP foldable keyboard to work with the HTC Magician (Jamin)

It's been a number of years since I've posted here.

I got an HP foldable bluetooth keyboard (Darfon 950) to work with the HTC Magician. (I-mate Jamin)

The basics of it is, the software that comes with the keyboard uses a WIDCOMM BT Stack and the Magician uses the MS BT Stack. So we need to get the Magician to use the Widcomm stack.

You're going to break your device (need to Hard reset) if you don't know how to use the registry.

I downloaded the Widcomm stack and followed the instructions here:

http://bt.evanjt.com/BroadcomBluetoothStackX51V05.zip

After installing it, it soft reset the device.

Instructions - Registry entry (I used PHM Registry Editor)

HKLM\WIDCOMM\BTConfig\SerialTransport

BaudRate - 115200
Device - COM
FlowControl - 0
Port - 1 <==Apparently that's REALLY important

Afterwards, a soft reset was in order again.

I installed the drivers from HP site softpaq SP32104. Unfortunaltey I don't remember where I got it from, but I don't see any reason why the drivers with the CD won't work.

That's all there is to it.

Once you tap the "Enable Keyboard" you shouldn't get the "DKBDriver.exe" error anymore. I can't even remember what it says anymore.

I've found some MS Stack drivers, I'll try and get it working that way round too if I find the time.
