Default NVIDIA Shows Off the GoForce 5500

The GoForce 5500, as you may or may not know, features prominently in the O2 Xda Flame. While we wait for this device to hit Asian-Pacific shores later this quarter, tantalize your taste buds with a demo of its GPU above.

Wow, now that's pretty awesome. That would take all PPC's to a higher level...

that's a pretty neat operating system they're showing there.

is it a "look what our gfx-card can do" demo, or is this from an actual pda ?

The former. Although, both the O2 Xda Flame and Sharp EM ONE incorporate the GoForce 5500, so if a developer wanted to create a third-party application that leveraged the power of the GPU, you'd probably see similar effects.

i guess software developers could incorporate nice swooshie-animations like that, but really cool would be something like that on the OS-side.
like vista (which i have yet to actually use ... i only know a bunch of videos ) or mac os-X.

That's a pretty sweet display of the power of that chip but I highly doubt we will see much of that. Think about the battery drain that type of processing power needed.

Also, that GUI looks very similar to the Nokia Symbian type found on the N95.
