WM6's Much-Improved Remote Desktop Mobile
"As has already been pointed out, Windows Mobile 6 (Crossbow) has a really improved TS client: Remote Desktop Mobile (RDM). It's far better than its predecessor in almost every respect: it supports full screen, high-color (16 bit) mode, (selectable) remote desktop-to-client sound transfer, excellent two-way (textual) clipboard synchronization and local username / password input, which will, then, be remembered (that is, you don't need to input your login credentials to the Windows log-in box but can do the same locally.)"

The above is Menneisyys's summary of the new Remote Desktop Mobile client in WM6 (as part of a much larger article about remote PC access from a WM device). Terminal Services Client was long-neglected, so I'm very happy to see that Microsoft has seen fit to upgrade it to a full-fledged RDP client. As a system administrator, I'm looking forward to having a tool like this handy. Now, let's just hope Connection Mangl...er...Manager has been cleaned up, making VPN access a bit easier to set up.

Does Vista Home Premium provide remote desktop ?
Or do I need Ultimate for that ?
I was shocked when I found I could connect from Axim to XP Home and needed to buy XP Pro only to add such a basic feature.

Wow, that's REALLY cool! I can't wait to show it to my clients... They'll drool over it but.... They all wear glasses and thus, have bad eyesight! Using terminal services on a PPC would be brutal for them :-(

It doesn't. You'll need Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise to accept incoming remote connections.

Yeah it works great, my only complaint is that it's not connection manager aware so you have to establish the vpn connection first. Other than that it works great, no more with the little boxes trying to find out where that new screen opened up at or trying to move the window because it's out of view
