Default MobileBurn: Bluetooth Stereo Headset Roundup

http://www.mobileburn.com/story.jsp...770&source=HOME

"...I decided last month that we should do a roundup of A2DP headphone here at MobileBurn. We matched up four pair of stereo headphones with four A2DP devices. The headphones in question were the BlueAnt X5, the Motorola HT820, Nokia's BH-601, and the Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970... The results of our testing were quite depressing. No headset worked properly with all of the phones, and no phone worked properly with all of the headsets."

I know a lot of us have invested or are interested in investing in a good pair of Bluetooth stereo headsets. I personally love the idea, but have been waiting for the "right" pair to come along. In any case, if you're in the market for a pair yourself, hop on over the MobileBurn and check out their review roundup.

Speaking of the Mobileburn roundup, I also recommend this article here at the PPCT forums (a summary of a non-English roundup).

I will also publish a quick roundup of what the Plantronics Pulsar 590A is compatible with (unfortunately, it has major compatibility problems) and what needs to be known of the HTC Wizard's A2DP support either later today or tomorrow morning (European time).

EDIT: Posted a FULL AVRCP compatibility test & roundup in the meantime to http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/foru...c.php?p=419841 - feel free to check it out

I have just bought the Blueant X5 to use with my i-mate JAMin. I'm not sure I like the external microphone, but its liveable. The music sound quality is good. (as good as my non-combo stereo headset from HP which is very good)

I've been very pleased with it so far. The a2dp transmitter is a nice addition for watching tv.

I've also tried the Bluespoon Spider and had good success (if one wants a class 1 device).

Both worked well with my JAMin (in regards to music to phone call transition and back to music; and avrcp compatibility).

I also tried the HP HT820 and it had good audio quality but the transitions and avrcp were trouble with the JAMin.

I use these ones with my Moto Q;

Both the audio and AVRCP work great, and the addition of the microphone with a converged device really comes in handy when listening to music, as the music will automatically pause to allow you to take the call directly while wearing the headphones.
