Freeware Oxios Memory v1.40 Released for Task/Memory Mangement
"Oxios Hibernate attempts to release as much memory as possible without damaging the internal state of the Windows Mobile device (Pocket PC or Smartphone). Oxios CloseApps closes down other applications by sending 'Close' messages."

Free high-quality software is always welcomed around here, and while there's certainly no shortage of memory management tools available at that price range, I know that SmartPhone Thoughts editor Jerry Raia is really high on this product. So, with that recommendation, it's definitely worth a look, right? Well, I guess that depends on whether you trust Jerry or not. Anyway, let us know your thoughts if you've tried this yourself.

SK Tools has a function to do the same thing. It seems to work.
What it does is clean everything out of memory that is on actually being used. It is kinda like how you have more free ram after a reboot. except with this you can skipp the reboot.
A reboot still works better and is what i do most of the time anyway.

I used this on my old SP3i. Worked very well. I just downloaded and installed it on my Treo. So far so good. It does a good job of finding all of the memory that the Treo continually looses. :way to go:

Works pretty good on my Eten. It actually seems to reclaim better than SKTools, and MemMaid combine... lol.
Also, their icon's pretty funny.

No advantage to using this over a soft reset for me, on a WM2003SE Toshiba e800. I thought for about 40 seconds that it had locked up the device, then at around 45 seconds it released screen and button control again and popped up that notification - it had closed 3 programs and released just over 2.5MB of RAM. Whoop de do. A soft reset takes about that long on the device with my setup and does it with no more effort than pressing the stylus into the little hole. Not hard. Oh, and it failed to close Wisbar Advance2 and the Belkin keyboard driver, both running just fine after it ran.

They work instantly on all three of my devices. Much faster than a soft reset.

I was just going to say that.
In fact it's faster than SKTools Free RAM utility.
It goes about 1-1.5 second for me.
