Default W-ZERO3: Now with More ROM and the MSFP

http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2006/...ns-new-variant/

Off we go from Taiwan to Japan where the folks at Sharp and Willcom have released a new version of the W-ZERO3. The new WS004SH variant features 256MB ROM and the MSFP, alongside an already stunning 3.7" VGA TFT-LCD, Wi-Fi, and QWERTY keyboard.

Don't forget, this is a W-SIM device, so try not to get all excited with hopes of cellular support outside of Japan.

A Verizon verison of this would be nice, along with a internal 8 gb hard-drive. Any new CDMA devices at computex?

By the looks of it - no. Well, if we're still talking about the realm of Windows Mobile.

Thanks for replying. I am just hoping for something new soon. Either a CDMA version of the HTC Universal or a new Samsung device that has a built in harddrive like their new smartphone but with a VGA screen. Personally, I think that Samsung makes such good devices that I would love to stay with their stuff.

c'mon guys - do you really believe you'd love the W-ZERO..?

its slow...

its bulky and heavy...

there are lots of problems in its connection settings...

the keyboard is difficult to use (gets tiring especially for keys at the sides)...

whenever you have to even soft reset - you need to OPEN up the back of the device...

its only uses MiniSD...

the plug where you cannot the AC adaptor, as well as the cover for the external card is made of SO-CHEAP rubber that youre always worried that you may tear it out...

no feel of solidness, basically a motherboard wrapped in cheap plastic...

are you sure you'd want one?

After an endless stream of QVGA, 64 ROM, 128 RAM devices, anything that tries to improve on that is at least interesting.
