Default Bluetooth AVRCP Update for HP iPAQ hx2000/hx4700 Series

http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/f...load/23338.html

HP has just released an update for Bluetooth stereo headphones paired with the HP iPAQ hx2000 and hx4700 series running Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition. The update enables AVRCP (remote control functionality) for Windows Media Player Mobile.

I have an h2210 and their webpage says that this update is good for the h2000 series too. But it won't update here! It says that this is an invalid model ID iPaq!

Eugenia, the Ipaq 2210 is no part of the H2000 series.
The Ipaq 2210 is of an older generation, and have it own series the H22xx...
The H2000 series include Ipaq 21xx, 24xx and 27xx.

Don't ask me why, I suppose the only one to know it the Naming convention guy at HP...

Note that it says for the WM2003SE models. The WM5 units don't even use the same BT stack. So they wouldn't include this update, though they may include the functionality (I don't think so though)

This version does not work with my Dell x50v, the previous version does work.

(old, 3.3mb) SP30003.exe works with x50v
(new, 1.2mb) SP31644.exe does not work with x50v

Bystander-
I have iPhone BT headphones. I had to use a third party patch to show the HQ Audio option in BT Manager with WM2003. With WM2005, HQ Audio was already there, and I was able to connect to the iPhone headphones (after turning off Security in properties) without installing the patch file I used with WM2003.
Hope this helps...
Ron...

Default New BT stack

Has anyone tried it on an HP2210/2215? I have tried the SP30003 to allow me to use my BT cellphone headset without success.

Wireless Wishing,
AXE

Thanks for the clarifications. I understand that the patch is unnecessary for those of us using the WM5 ROM.

As has already been pointed out above, this version won't work with the h2200 series. It's designed for the hx2000 and hx4700 series only.
