Default The Gadgeteer Reviews Nextlink's Bluespoon AX2

http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/review...uetooth_headset

"Bluetooth headset reviews have been a long time coming from me, because I use a carrier that has been notoriously slow to release compatible devices. In late 2005 the stars aligned and Sprint finally offered the PPC-6700, a BT enabled PDA phone which I was eager to purchase. All that remained was to find a headset that was light and comfortable to wear, easy to operate, had clear sound - both incoming and outgoing, and that wouldn't look like an appendage dangling from the side of my face. When I came across the Nextlink Bluespoon AX2 Ultra Small Wireless Bluetooth Headset, I thought that I might have found exactly what I was looking for. Measuring just 1.62" (4.1cm) long x 1" (2.5cm) wide x 0.5" (1.3cm) thick (not counting the earpiece) and weighing just 0.3 ounces (10g), the AX2 is the second smallest BT headset currently available."

Conveniently small and light, or annoyingly small and light? If you've tried this headset before, let us know the answer to that question.

I've had my AX2 for about 3 months now and love it, although I do have my gripes.

Pros:
1.Sound is great on both ends
2.The size is wonderful
3.Never had a problem pairing with multiple devices
4.I think I've charged it 4 times in the three months I've used it (In standby at least 1 hour a day, talked on probably under 2 hours a week. mostly in car use. Usually turned off)

Cons:
1. The in ear system REALLY hurt my ear for the first week. Felt like a very bad, deep bruise on that little part that sticks out infront of my ear canal, above where the lobe is. Very painful and I was about to throw the thing against a wall. went on vacation over thanksgiving and never used it. Came back, tried it and it never hurt again. maybe I got use to it. Have noticed that the rubber piece is keeping the bend that forms when it is put in the ear, so its probably transferring less pressure now.
2. If you pull out the battery or jar the headset enough for the battery to lose contact for a second, it'll stop working until you attach a charger. I droped it onto soft grass while putting it in one time. That was enough to make it shut off.
3. It blinks a binding blue light every 5 or 10 seconds when connected. I got this tiny thing because I didn't wan't it to be noticed. Why put this bright light there? you can't even see it while wearing it. its pointless.

I've also had mine for about 3.5months. It's still too big. The 5G is more my style, but if I need better battery life I'll usually use the AX2.
