Nero Home Mobile Edition Previewed at CES 2006
"Nero, leaders in digital media technology, is previewing its new Nero Home Mobile Edition at CES 2006. This first-of-its-kind product will allow a user of a mobile device/PDA to integrate all types of multimedia on that device, including songs, videos, photos and shortcuts for radio and television streaming content. Just like Nero Home in the desktop version of the popular Nero 7, the Nero Home Mobile Edition will provide easy and fast access to a user's entire digital media library. The Nero Home Mobile Edition will have the highest quality, as it will incorporate Nero Digital, which is fully optimized for mobile devices, regardless of the operating system. Nero Mobile Home Edition also features HE-AAC v2 and MPEG-4 AVC, which will bring an unprecedented new level of multimedia experience to the mobile user. Just like Nero Home, the new Nero Home Mobile Edition will also be fully UPnP compliant."

In two to three months, mobile devices will get a piece of the Nero 7 multimedia pie with Nero Home Mobile Edition. President, Udo Eberlein, previewed the upcoming product at CES, hinting at automatic sync and drag-and-drop support between the mobile device and the home media center. Interesting news! We'll keep you updated once we find out more.

Just so you know, their last attempt at mobile media didn't get very far. At the time of launch, ShowTime Mobile was a very capable application, but simply failed to grab enough market share.

That pricing policy (for lack of a better term) existed from the start.
