Default Palm Treo Smartphones Forum Launched

http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/for...wforum.php?f=60

Yes, it's a Palm. For that reason, we've just added a dedicated forum to discuss Palm's Windows Mobile-based Treo Smartphones, so if you ever have any questions or comments about the Treo 700w (or any future Windows Mobile-based Treos that may surface), this is the place for it.

But wait, a Palm forum on a Pocket PC site? You thought you'd never see the day. That's right - it's real and it's enough to make grown men cry. Enjoy!

Isn't that a sign of Windows Mobile's strength and ability to penetrate more diverse markets? It was Palm OS that prompted many to move from Palm to Pocket PC, not Palm's hardware.

I think this is a great move for Palm. The Windows Mobile OS is great, and has so much more multimedia and connectivity options open to it.

And its actually had an update in the last few years

The 700w is great. All I would have changed is the available RAM (25mb is not really enough) and the screen (480x480 would be gorgeous).

Default Why the 6515 is Better than the Treo 700

1. Memory Slots, 1 vs. 2?
2. Screen Protector, when having phone up against ear.
3. GPS, so the 6515 can navigate withou a additional reciever.
4. Proven Track Record.

any comments

I just picked up mine last night and the ONLY complaint I have is memory - sigh... I will have to wait until PPCTech gets a kit for this - I guess Palm forgot about the size of memory needed for windows programs as opposed to palm programs which are traditionally smaller in memory requirements.

Other than that - I LOVE the form factor - it's speedy enough so I am not too worried about things not plugging along as I would need them to.

I'm eagerly waiting for someone to come out with a decent case for this device now...

But what about the Palm's popularness ??
