Default OQO: "Look Ma, I'm a Tablet!"

http://www.oqo.com/company/news/rel...ses/show/pr0017

Wowee! OQO has finally made the move to a Tablet PC Edition of Windows XP. All of a sudden, the Model 01+ doesn't seem half bad, though it's probably safe to assume that the battery life still greatly sucketh, and that it still might burn a hole in your pocket, both literally and metaphorically ($2099). But hey, it's still cool.

Um, all normal-sized laptops have PC Card slots, including Tablet PCs (like my former Motion Computing M1200, for instance). I understand wanting to save space and miniaturize, but I imagine the lack of PC Card is a deal killer for a lot of folks.

Well, its really compact, no more space for anything else, if it would have had it, it would have been significantly thicker..

That's right, look at the huge DualCor cpc it's probably over twice as big, is 3 cm thick and doesn't even include a PC Card slot either.

Mwahahahahaha.

My nemesis, the mandatory PC Card slot for EVDO access, is soon to be defeated. Perhaps as soon as February.

Suddenly, an OQO+ starts making a tad bit o' sense.
