there are lots of freeware for setting sms / ringtone .....

MortRing is freeware and does it's job well you can get it here at the xda-dev forums.

Hey !! The software looks nice to me :alfdance:
but..um..the price is bit steep.
Also there are freeware solutions which do the same functionality(mort-ring)

The only problem with Mortring that I can see is how do you access MP3's - it only seems to detect WAVs and I cant browse from the app to files from a specific location. Ringo does - Mortring doesn't. Are there any other freeware alternatives to Mortring that actually work the way I want them to?

Update: You get three ringtones with this app. They're called BritishPhone, RoosterPhone and SynthPhone.

Instead of creating a new thread... i'll just bump this one...
Ok I have recent got Ringo... it works good, I can now use a MP3 for my SMS tone... but for some reason the SMS Tone only plays about 5-10secs of the mp3 and then stops... does anyone know why this is?

Does this program allow you to customize your contacts to specific sms ringtones also that is the only thing i hate about pocket pc everyone has the same text ringtone.
