Default SuperList Pro From ScaryBear Software

http://www.scarybearsoftware.com/ppc_sl_overview.html

"SuperList Pro is a multi-level checklist program that allows you to quickly and efficiently create a list of items and sub-items either directly on the application screen or by importing simple list text files. The ability to create branches and sub-branches gives you the flexibility to group similar items in a list. Items can also be moved around by doing a simple drag-n-drop procedure directly on the screen. "

There is a 1.6MB animated GIF file at the above link that will show off a number of SuperList Pro's capabilities. You can download a trial or buy it for $16.95.

You should precise that this is the new version 2.0

I tried version 1.7, and that was just about a month ago. Was too slow, I think because it stores all lists in one single file 8O. So the more lists you add, the slower it becomes.

Looks like it still does the same.

Another problem is that even if you move the data file to a card, it recreates it internally (My documents in RAM) and only updates this one 8O.

I stopped using it for these problems.

Not sure if they corrected that :?:

I never put data in RAM, I had a bad experience a couple of times with spontaneous hard reset; now I put all my data on a card, so it's safe from all hard reset.

I used both 1.7 and now 2.0 and I don't have a problem w/ slowness. I run the program from main memory like it is recommended and I backup to my storage card (Realize in v2.0 you are able to select where you wish to have your backup saved).

To make what you say even more intriguing to me, I am using a hp1945 (remember, not the fastest pda out there) and it is pretty instantaneous for me.

Also, I am using multiple databases since this is an added feature of 2.0. I suffer from no slowness or anything.

I am quite pleased with v2.0.

Is it me, or does the name of this product seem a little too close to the other list manager program out there?

(i.e., ListPro)

Default To Slow for me

I know the authors recommend that it be installed in main memory, but my main memory is so constrained, that I install everything I can to the "FileStore".

At about 1.4 to 1.6 MB (can't remember exact amount) it's just too big to put in main memory. Running from the "FileStore" this app is very slow and I am using an Axim x50v @ 624 Mhz.

Graphically the program is very nice. I like the way they have implemented moving nodes. Very intuative.

If they could get it to run fast from "Built In Storage/File Store" I would buy easily.
