Default Batman's Gadgets: "Where Does He Get Those Marvelous Toys?"

http://www.forbes.com/technology/20...0620batman.html

"Last weekend, Batman Begins was the No. 1 film in the country . . . Plenty of moviegoers had to leave those theaters a little sad that they can't fly through a city and crack muggers' heads. . . But you don't have to be a billionaire to become a caped crusader. Using commercially available training, technology and domestic help, the average guy could conceivably equip himself to become a real-world superhero, provided he's got at least a couple million to spare."

Holy gizmos galore Batman! Forbes have put together a wry analysis about the expense of becoming a real life Batman. Just click on the slide show and gaze at the gleaming gadgets. As the article points out, most of the gadgets are feasible today. All you need is a little (cough) cash to imitate the caped crusader. Now where did I leave my Bat Pocket PC?

Jason, do you have a copy of the famous Dale Coffing Bat belt photo in your archives? This would be the perfect time to drag it out.

That is what he was using in Batman Returns as a bat-a-rang. Its a multipurpose tool.

Oh and its expense. Sorry to be a word Nazi.

If I even had the $3M, I think I'd rather spend the $1.1M on the alter ego and donate the rest to the Gotham Policeman's Fund and let them fight the various clowns. 8)

I'm sure Forbes gives all their employees Batmobiles. Sigh...

I'm with daS... Live like a millionaire, and give the rest to the police force (provided you think you can trust them). Oh, I'd spend some of my money to get into Bat-shape and learn how to defend myself like any respectful ninja, too.
