Default Geekzone Reviews the BES102 Bluetooth Wireless Stereo/Hi-Fi Headphones

http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.a...?ContentId=4581

"eFrontier.co.nz sent me one pair of their Bluetooth stereo headphone sets to have a look at. Now, these are fun to have around: having wireless audio from almost any source, including your mobile phone, is fantastic. <...> The headpones on their own are great as you can pair with almost any Bluetooth device to listen to its audio output, and it has a plug-in microphone so it can be used as a handsfree headset also. Paired to your pocket PC, tablet PC, or notebook, you could be chatting away on Skype as I did through my Pocket PC and CafeNet (a local Wi-Fi hotspot service), or listening to any other voice quality audio stream such as a training video. "

Geekzone has really been aggressive with their reviews this past week! This time they're reviewing a set of Bluetooth stereo headsets. If you're in the market for one, be sure to check this out. Though I have to tell you, I personally don't find them to be the most attractive looking things in the world! I'd almost rather put deer- antlers on my head. :P Aww... I'm just kidding. They look just fine!

Ugh!!! Up till now the best stereo bluetooth headphones are from HP.
Geez they could have at least put some effort into the design and style. Whats up with the color blue. And that mic ugh!! or whatever it is looks aweful. I wouldn't wear these things even if they were free.

On a positive note! I'm glad that the idea and technology is spreading. Obviously or hopefully they'll get cheaper.

I haven't seen anything else on the market that combines stereo headphones with a mic...

Anyone know of anything?

USD price is around $150...not bad really....

Actually there are a lot of bluetooth stereo headsets with mics available, the most popular being the Bluetake headset. Just GOOGLE it or go to eBay. The problem is that a lot of them look ridiculous or too expensive.

If only HP (and by this I mean Logitech, of course) had the sense to make thier headphones with a band like this one, I would use them all the time. Currently they sit on a shelf until I can think of a way to reinforce thier inherent structural flaws without bulking it up signifigantly. Once the band breaks, they are useless. Im on my second pair (hp replaced the first when they broke) and I hope to use them more soon.

If not for the microphone bit on this, I would switch to them in heartbeat, but I never plan to use a mic, and it would only get in the way. If they were 50 bucks less, I might be convinced to overlook the mic, but at 150, it puts it just outside what I am willing to spend on headphones.

If you have never used wireless headphones, it is such a wonderful release from wired headphones aside from the obvious bit about the wire. They are worth the money and I heartily recommend trying a pair out when they get a bit cheaper.

You can plug a mic into Anycom's new bluetooth stereo headphones. These ones are so ugly though, I'm waiting on Anycom's or iCombi's.. much nicer looking and a 7hr and 11hr battery life respecively.
