Mobile Television - Whenever, Wherever!

With a few items acquired from here and there, a Korean geek at TodaysPPC.com was able to demonstrate the full potential of TV 'on-the-go' with a Pocket PC. As usual, the website has a wealthy number of pictures on show, and if Korean isn't your thing, then this Google translation may help you out, although it's far from perfect. Okay, now looking at the pictures, you may think that there are just a few too many cables hooked up to the Pocket PC, but hey, you can't discount the uber geek factor (which is what it's all about)!

It seems to me like you have to carry too many things just to have a TV around.
And this other picture

This other picture reminds me about a long time ago forgotten past

Maybe he's a Borg
Actually, mobile TV isn't so hot. In the US at least, UHF comes in good and higher VHF is adequate. But mid to low VHF always comes in poorly, even with the best antennas.

You partially answered my question. But where this Borg connected the cables? :devilboy: (check the cables and see in what direction they are going)

Come on. It's not that bad. There is a power splitter that goes to the iPAQ and the tuner back. It is connected to the coiled cord which evidently connects to a power pack for 'mobility'. This isn't hat much worse than a cabled GPS solution with car charger that powers both the PDA and the GPS puck.
My problem with this is that it is built for a concept that has all but disappeared, the iPAQ sleeve. Beyond that I bet it costs more than just getting a pocket TV.
