Default The Soon-To-Be-Released Pocket RPG Maker

http://www.smokingfish.de/

Written in C#, the Pocket RPG Maker project is now in its final stages and should be released sometime during the next few weeks. With support for VGA, this editor will allow you to create an unlimited-sized two layer map using RM2K tilesets. You'll be able to switch to an area-editing mode to set active/inactive areas of the map, and to top it off, you will be able to save, load and test maps on-demand. For more information, visit the developer's website here. We'll keep you posted with an update as soon as it is released.

Edit: Updated with a newer screenshot.

I hate to be an ignorant savage, but what is rpg (or r-pg)? I work in engineering, so it looks familiar yet I suspect the rpg that I know is not the one this article is talking about. :?:

For example, the most excellent Legend of Zelda series.

I've updated it with a new one. Thanks for the heads-up.

Anybody know what devices the final product is supposed to support? The website has beautiful shots of the protable output and the desktop editor, but doesn't say much in the way device compatibility.

-KKC, who just pulled his EM500 out of storage because he doesn't have an MMC reader in the house and refuses to buy any Secure Digital hardware...
