If you intend to install Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2 it's not recommended you install this as you'll need to uninstall the .NETCF v2.0 package first (Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2 includes these runtimes). The runtimes are installed to your device over ActiveSync. See the download page for full details and supported devices. A big change with .NETCF v2.0 is that you can now create device applications using the SDK tools (also in Beta) as well as Visual Studio 2005 Standard edition and above.
