Mobile2wear Releases Power Schedule 1.0
"Power Schedule is a power management utility unlike any other similar applications. Its main feature is the ability to allow the user to select a custom power on/power off schedule for Pocket PC battery consumers (phone, bluetooth, wireless lan and backlight). Among these features, we have included a today plugin that displays the next power event, battery levels and icons for wireless lan, bluetooth, phone and backlight. Also, a background application checks battery every once in a while, prompting you or automatically turning off consumers when battery reaches a critical level."
If you check their site, mobile2wear seems to have bought the same keyboard pt is using (you know, the one with the missing caps keys), but other than that, this does sound like a nice piece of software. It has happened to me a few times that I forgot to switch off power consuming settings after usage (like Bluetooth and WiFi) which gave my less battery life than I'd want to, so I think an application like this could really help me in getting the best mileage out of my Pocket PCs battery. If you're like me, you can get Power Schedule at PocketGear for $9.95 [affiliate]. A demo version is available.
