Default Pocket Hack Master 2004 Released

http://www.mtekk.com.au/browse/page1014.html

"After many months of testing, Anton Tomov has at last released the long awaited V3.02 of Pocket Hack Master. With support for PXA25x and PXA26x devices and a full ground-up rewrite, the new version has a totally revamped interface and vastly improved functionality."

I did some beta testing for this program awhile back, and I used the first version of it. The UI and graphics are much improved over the original, as is the functionality. If you've got a slower (older) processor, or if you just like to squeeze as much speed as possible out of your devices, this may be for you! Pocket Hack Master 2004 v 3.02 can be yours for only $14.95. [Affiliate] Has anyone tried this yet? What are your thoughts?

Watting for the PXA270 support module Anton Tomov said that he is hoping to meet his deadline and release at least a beta for this module on the 1st of Nov.

Cant wait to see what speeds the PXA270 @ 624Mhz is capable of.

The new interface is great. Aside from from a couple of lockups with a RAM setting at 147 during the speed tests, this has been very stable on my e805 running WM2003SE. One very important safeguard you should take before doing the speed tests (if this is your first time with PHM): do a full backup before starting. When my device locked up during the tests, I had to do a hard reset to get it back (it refused to soft reset). Once you have identified the stable speeds, it's simple to select the choices to be included in the scaling process.

If you're a beginner at the scaling concept, PHM makes it easy to access the xscale's power and flexibility. If you're experienced, everything you've loved about PHM is still there under the hood. Anton has delivered an excellent new version.

PocketGear says 3.02. The text in italicised font is quoted from MTekk, so there was probably an update since then.

Thanks, fixed! ops:

One thing I really like about this version is that it will test different settings for you, and will only allow you to run at speeds that don't lock up your device. Of course, the device has to lock up during the testing to determine if the settings will lock it up, but a soft reset takes care of that.

I have used Hack Master's previous version on my MDA II, but I'm unable to get the product to work on my new i-mate PDA2K.
Don't know why, because the PDA2K has the PXA263 CPU.
Has anyone else gotten it to work on the PDA2K?

Default Comparison with XCPUScalar

Can anybody give a comparison to XCPUScalar? I'm using XCPUScalar on my 2210 and am quite happy with it. Especially the "Auto Scale with CPU load" option is very nice. Does Hack Master offer this?

Cheers,
teq
