To AvantGo or Not?
Quick survey time: I want to know how many of you regularly use AvantGo to access sites, whether it's this one or other content.

Used to use it loads. Now I use iSilo to clip offline websites.
Update: Since I have 500 minutes of free wap usage a month plus 500k of GPRS on my mobile plan I use PIE or WebPro (on T3) to read my daily updates at BBC News and BBC Sports.

RSS
I'm not sure how others feel, however with RSS coming on strong and connected devices becoming more common, I question whether AvantGo can make it. Used to use it, but have really found RSS handling what I need much better.

I agree. I used to use AvantGo every day, but have not in quite some time. Incidentally, does anyone know how to completely remove it.

I use RSS more now. Especially with the three AvantGo channels I subscribe to occupying 500kB on the device. That isn't very many "refereshes" on my 2MB/month data plan 8O

All of the time...everyday
I use Avantgo alot now...but once I get a GSM/GPRS phone with BT (I have decided against any of the integrated models....wait til the next gen hits), I won't use at as much. I even used it to keep track of Frances and read all of the NHC's info on it. try http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/index.wml on PIE and it works wonderfully. You can even see the graphics.

Yeah, I'm also using RSS a lot now, with wi-fi and vga screen Avantgo is not that appealing anymore

I haven't used AvantGo since I switched to World Off-Line by SunnySoft over 1 1/2 years ago. I'll never use it again either.
I don't miss it a bit! WOL does everything I need, very well and very quickly for the amount of data I dl daily  .

Avantgo is my source of news for my morning and afternoon commutes to and from work.
I also use RSS a bit, but find it very limited due to the fact that most feeds are just Headlines or short blurbs.
