Default Kai's Outlook Cleaner 2004 v4.4

http://www.ppcw.net/?itemid=1961

"If you use two PCs (one in the office and one at home)you might have noticed duplicates in your [Outlook] database. Duplicated calendar entries like birthdays, duplicated contacts and even tasks." Outlook Cleaner provides an easy interface to delete old entries from various Outlook functions.

Take a gander at the main functions and features:

Open all appointments, tasks and contacts in a list
 Search for a specific string
 Select expired entries
Search for double and triple entries
Delete all found / selected entries from the related areas
Include search, delete and move NOTES
Move selected appointments at: minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years
Reminder set for selected aapointments: to x minutes, hours, days and off or on
 Set Reminder alarm on/off

This looks like a pretty useful app, especially for those of us with a billion and a half appointments and multiple machines. If you fancy giving it a try, you can slake your thirst over at PocketGear for the incredibly, preposterously low price of only $8. [Affiliate] If you're the type that likes to try before you buy, you're in luck - there's a trial available. Have you used this? Thoughts?

I remember once when I synced my PPC to find all my birthday and holiday entries had duplicates everywhere...so what did I have to do?

Go through the arduous task of manually deleting each repeating occurrence. Oh what a painful experience.

Nice to see a program that solves it all with the click of a button!

I have used Outlook Duplicates Remover before and have been quite happy with the program. Since the software is "prayerware", it's price beats out pretty much all other applications: free, but the author asks for your prayers for his parrish.

The executable, odr5.exe, can be downloaded from http://www.simon.rundell.btinternet.co.uk/. It runs on your desktop machine, rather than on the PPC itself.

I made what I feel was the profound mistake of paying for this app (listed as $35 on one reseller, but I think I paid $15 somehow). It removed 9 entries, but in one E-mail folder alone I had 17 obvious duplicates! I contacted them by E-mail and never received a reply. I am still stuck with what must be a couple hundred duplicate E-mails, and not ONE application out there could figure it out.

Give up, kids. Set aside a weekend and do it by hand. :/
