Default HP Flashing Windows Mobile 2003 SE Onto Devices

http://www.mobilegadgetnews.com/mod...order=0&thold=0

Rey Flores is at MDC 2004 and he has a brief report telling us that HP is on-site flashing iPAQ 2200 and 4100 series with the new OS. Darn, now I wish I had gone! 8)

Doesn't that mean that the official update for the iPAQs is just around the corner?

That was my thought pacemkr.

Obviously it has been released in "some form* whether it be to just OEMs or not. I would really doubt the HP, Microsoft, or anybody would be flashing Beta code into people's devices enmass.

It also leads me to believe that HP has a finished, or 90+% finished, OEM upgrade just waiting on a date to arrive. They may be one of the first out of the gates.

Maybe we will see the official upgrade sooner than I thought.
Now to wait on new hardware designs.......

No, unfortunately ...

This is a beta and on the 221x, you will lose BT and it requires a hard reset.

This is for developers and HP makes you sign a paper saying you won't hold them responsible for problems with the update.

They won't comment on whether they will ever make an official release at all. Still, it is pretty cool!

It's really interesting that these guys just sit there and flash units, instead of announcing some new models.

If they didn't require any NDA, can anybody who flashed h2210 or h4410 or dell x3 tell us the first impression?

I'm assuming you're kidding, but just in case someone takes you seriously:

PPCT would not encourage or allow this distribution unless it was clear the upgrade was intended to be freely redistributable. Obviously, we have no control over what people do using their own bandwidth, but please do not post links to illegal copies of it.
