Default Community Service Announcement: Defraggle Your Motherdisk

http://www.datadocktorn.nu/us_frag1.php

It is common knowledge that one of biggest performance problems with a computer is a badly fragmented hard drive and many of us use software defraggers. There may be a better way though.

"A hard drive becomes fragmented very, very fast. What happens is that all the tiny ones and zeros gets mixed and confused, and to get back the original speed on Your hard drive it's necessary to Defragment it. There are several of different species of software to make this happen, but the most excellent way to do it is a hardwaredefragmentation. you'll only need some basic data-mechanical-skills to be able to accomplish this operation."

Of course, this is much more than just a how-to article. You will also learn many valuable tips in the process!

"If you have Windows on your Data machine, You'll find the OS on the top disc, you'll recognize it easily, it's much heavier then the rest of the discs. If you use Linux, then you'll of course don't need to do this operation at all..."

Have a good weekend all! :rotfl:

My pocket pc has been a bit laggy lately. I think I'll have to try this with it too.

Default I tried it

I tried this last night...

Let's just say that none of the Windows problems I've been having ever occurred again. Also, I've stopped receiving spam! And, no more annoying popups and spyware. This is an amazing technique.

By the way, I'm typing this on a public terminal...

I'm just wondering, is there any problem defraggling if your motherdisk is compressed? Also, does defraggling support file systems other than FAT, FAT32, and NTFS?

If anyone's wondering if an electric toothbrush would work any better, read this. ---> http://forum.datadocktorn.nu/forum/r...18&i=226&t=226
