it continued to do all functons including timer, but it wouldn't tell time or run alarms
even the golf functions worked
the hard-reset fixed everthing (a soft-reset prably wauld have warked but i think only fossil watches have this funtionality)

Interesting. Of course, it's not that surprising. As watches become more and more general computers, their ability to crash also increases.

True but it's a pain to unscrew the rear panel w/ a jwelers screwdirver.
I should be thankfull it happens less than once every 2 months

I used to have to hard reset my Chevrolet Lumina! The computer that controlled fuel mixture and emissions would get monkeyed up and it would run rough and barely idle. I'd have to disconnect and reconnect the battery, start the car and let it idle for three or four minutes while it recalculated everything. :roll:
