Thanks should go to fellow member Shadowac90 - he's the one who told me about it.
I have trouble reading the analog version - just too small. Plus the fact that I dislike analog clocks in general. Have you guys seen the analog clock in the Longhorn screenshots?

I'll be beta testing Windows Media Center XP 2005, but would rather have a copy of longhorn.

Just one more post quick, (sorry so off-topic).
I think :? I signed up for Windows Media Center 2005 testing and am looking forward to that instead of Longhorn. Longhorn is just... ToOOoOOo slow right now. (I have to wait about 3-4 hours for it to start) Once loaded it runs about 1 half the speed of Windows 98. Actually, it is just like Windows XP. I haven't noticed any differences other than the fancy icons and the... 300+ crashes I have had already.
Do you [David] know when beta for WMC '05 will begin? I heard in the summer or towards fall. Someone I know said beta for Longhorn will begin in Q2 2004.

Sorry -- continuance of Longhorn clock discussion:
Have you seen Desktop Sidebar? It's great, seems very stable and has a Longhorn analog clock option. I've been running build 55 for several weeks with no issues.

(I really don't care where this thread goes - personally I find this tanget more engrossing than the Today screen feature it was started for.)
No idea, dmacburry2003, but I would assume that they'd like to have WMC 2005 go gold this year. Wouldn't that follow their naming scheme? Name it 2005 because it comes out in 2004? Also, how close did you just get to violating your NDA?
Neat app, jgrnt1! Does that just run on Longhorn?

Windows Media Center 2005 is code-named Symphony.
I like that better than Code-Name Longhorn (I ain't no rancher  ).
Since Longhorn is not yet in beta, I like the idea of WMC '05 because that WILL be in beta and beta is a lot more stable than alpha.
Again I go with the alpha, beta, theta, delta, .
That app does look neat, I didn't really look at the specs but wouldn't someone design something like that to put Longhorn features in earlier OS's?
PS: *he thinks* Longhorn? What Longhorn? I don't have no Longhorn :?
