Default Boston Pocket PC.com Reviews the TEC Sport Jacket

http://www.bostonpocketpc.com/modul...wcontent&id=154

"James Bond had Q to fashion his trademark clothes and gadgets, since you dont have the entire design and technology group of the British Secret Intelligence Service (aka MI6) at your disposal the folks at SCOTT eVEST have stepped up to the plate in creating a garment Agent 007 would be proud to wear the TEC Sport Jacket.

Many people have seen the SCOTT eVEST evolve into a great product for the active casual user, but there currently was nothing available for those who need a more dressed up look in the workplace or for a casual night out on the town. For my work and lifestyle I need to carry many handheld devices with me especially if I am on call. The design team at SCOTT eVEST answered the call in the new TEC Sport Jacket, which takes all the cool features you would normally find in a SCOTT eVEST product and places them in a Sport Jacket good enough for dining out on the town and discretely carrying all your mobile devices.

The TEC Sport Jacket is an epitome of functional fashion. It combines European styling found in a fine Italian suit from Brioni or a tailor-made suit from master tailor Gianni Campagna with a flair of American ingenuity. The TEC Sport Jacket is more than a 3 button navy blue blazer (that in my opinion looks almost black) made of a blend of worsted wool, with a silky smooth gold lining. The blazer sports 14 hidden pockets; TECs patent pending PAN (Personal Area Network), which are hidden conduits in the garment allowing for the connecting and snaking of wires and cables from various devices; and an abundance of other features designed to make your life easier."

I've never been a personal fan of the eVests because I don't like to wear vests. :-) They're starting to design non geeky-looking clothing, but keeping the same idea, so this is a big step in the right direction. A question for all you men out there (since this is a man's jacket): would you wear this?

FINALLY!!! A Scott eVest that doesn't look DORKY!

This is an AMAZING looking jacket. Up to now, I have NOT be a fan or supporter of Scott eVest. I was scheduled to do a review of the Scott eVest, but never completed it due to personal reasons...I would have panned the daylights out of the jacket. It looked like a baggy, nylon bowling shirt, and was WAY overpriced, IMHO.

This however is much different. I have been in suit stores and have seen jackets that cost about this much. From what I've been able to see from the pictures Jason has posted, and from the photos in the BPCC review, this looks like a regular sports jacket; and appears to fit the reviewer well when COMPLETELY loaded down with everything but his bathroom sink.

Way to go, Scott Jordan!! You have managed to create a piece of technology enabled clothing that has really piqued my curiosity, and isn't too far off from what I would pay for a decent sports jacket at a good suit store. From what I've been able to see, you've really impressed me.

Congratulations on a WONDERFUL product launch! I wish you much continued success!!!

Yep

I said a while ago that I would never buy one of those ScotteVests because they are so unstylish. This, however, does not fit my age range either, Im not running my own business and a suit & tie isnt my scene - but it proves the point that ScotteVests are getting there.

You know, I took this the other way... Why would I (Brad) EVER where a suit jacket!!!

For me, who has to where a suit/tie every day to work, this would make a great Father's Day gift. (Hint, Hint). I'll have to print this off and leave it conspicuously around the house.

I have two Scott eVests. I won one at the first Pocket PC Summit and bought the second last year. They are great for traveling though they can drive the TSA people nuts. :grinning devil:

I need a jacket for briefings and demos that looks good but will carry my stuff. This could be a great business expense (write off).

Gotta get one
