Default Newbie Axim Owners Take Note: "How To Do Everything With Your Dell Axim" Now Shipping

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/A...51/jasondunn-20

"Discover how to do more with your Axim than you ever thought possible with this step-by-step guide. Learn to synchronize with Microsoft Outlook or other e-mail clients, use applications, go wireless, access data from virtually anywhere, and much more. Optimize memory, conserve battery power, and use the Axim's security features to protect your valuable information. Connect to wireless networks, make presentations, and navigate with GPS. Whether you're a new user or switching from another handheld, this book will help you get the most out of your Axim."

Rich Hall, Barry Shilmover, and Derek Ball have written a solid resource for beginner Axim Pocket PC owners. And I happened to tech edit this book, so I can promise you that it's accurate  (as of the time it was written of course). If you want to know how to make the most of your Dell Axim Pocket PC, this is a good resource to get you started.

If you're an iPAQ owner, there's a version of the book for you as well. And, yes, I tech edited that one too. [Affiliate]

There's a review on Amazon about this book that says it doesn't go into much detail. Would you disagree? For example, I just went through setting up a wireless network, getting my Axim to access shares, etc... I have everything but WiFi ActiveSync working now. Would this book have been a good resource on the finer points of the setup process?

Default X3i

Does this book touch on the newer X3's?
I thought the original cover I saw last week pictured the X3 on it too.

A friend of mine already bought a copy at a local Barnes and Noble. I skimmed through it and it appears to be very well done.

It DOES include information about the X3 and X3i.

No, you're not the target audience - it's a book meant for beginners. You're already way beyond that. ;-)

An iPaq user here (well as soon as it arrives from the States. After waiting 10 weeks for it to get here a new one was just mailed to me again...long story).

Does the ipaq book cover Mobile 2003 or h2200 series?
Would the Axim book help an iPaq user?

Cheers
Paula
