Default Iodata SDIO GPS Card

http://www.iodata.jp/prod/multimedi...gps/2003/sdgps/

I can't read a word of the text, but looks like a tiny SDIO GPS card is on the way from Japanese company Iodata. I wonder, are they an ODM? Will we see this product released under other local brands?

Woohoo SDIO here we go!.
You know what I'd like to see? More handhelds with DUAL SD slots like that Palm gameboy thingy with at least 1 capable of SDIO.

SD is sooo small and flimsy I dont think it will ever be practical for I/O devices.

The electronics have to stick out too far on both this, SD Wi-Fi, and cameras that it will snap the SD card if anything hits it.

That's the same ol' MEI (Matsu****a) SD GPS that "everyone and their mother" 8O is bringing to market! The Pharos unit I was sent for testing two months ago being defective, I haven't been abe to pit it against the competition. They're working on getting me a new one it seems...

Do you know if it's a SiRF chipset? If it's an Evermore or something else, I'd be tempted to ignore it...
