Default PocketMatrix Reviews Pocket Artist

http://www.pocketmatrix.com/reviews/pocketartist/

"Many of you have heard of Adobe's Photoshop or Jasco's Paintshop Pro. In fact, 'photoshop' has become almost a household word for doctoring photos and artwork, just as 'band-aid' has become a household word for doctoring cuts and scratches. It should come as no surprise then that this technology has crossed over into the PDA realm. Actually, it has for some time now in a small number of avenues. But this month marks the release of another update to Conduit's Pocket Artist, now at version 2.7, and is a good a time as any to bring you a thorough review of this great application."

If you've been considering an art program for your Pocket PC, take a look at this review -- thoroughly done with lots of screenshots. It's amazing to see how far handheld software has come!

Sweeeeet!!! Exactly what I needed . I just wish it were cheaper, at $50, it does seem like a "Hefty Price". 8O

This program looks great. It will be nice to be able to take the SD card from my camera and use my ppc to touch up photos while on the road without a laptop.

Slightly Off Topic:

Does anyone know what is being used in the screenshot for the theme? It looks like XP and seems to have quicklaunch icons, battery meter, etc... What is this program called?

Thanks!

this is another one of those really great pocketpc programs that are just WAY too expensive. i would consider paying $25 for it. but at $50, it is just way too high. but, none the less, it is an excellent program.

Check out Idruna. They have a variety of photo editing software to fit different needs and have been out since the beginning.

the program is icbar. He's using one of the skins that's available.

enjoy! it's a great program.

P.S. - how do you pronounce it? is it "ick-bar" or "I-C Bar"?

I just wish Conduits had released P.Artist 1.x as a light version of the program and sold it in the rage of $15-20.

NOT everybody needs to be able to open Photoshop files, in short 90-95% of people don't need the advanced features of PA 2.7. We just need basic stuff: crop, resize, light retouch and the like.

I'm sure it will NOT eat up on the more advanced program, just simply because those who need basic features will never pay $50, but they would gladly pay $15-20.

I sent an email to Conduits regarding this and this is what I got:
