I've always been half geek/half artist. This would help bring the two together.

nah, that's old.
a couple of days ago i saw a 3D laser printer. you give it like a block of plastic, and out comes your desired 3d model.
no need to glue stuff together for architectural models, just one click of the button and you got your 3d plastic house.
miniature models of your own head (3d-body-scanner not included), or carve out those prototypes you've been working on in 3d studio max.
now that's a printer

I've seen that too. Even as far back as 5 years ago. But the one you waw lately, was it marketed to the everyday consumer or small business?
