Dell Axim X3 To Launch October 15
http://news.com.com/2100-1041-5088993.html
"The Round Rock, Texas-based company will introduce its Axim X3 in a press conference scheduled for this coming Wednesday, it said in an e-mail Thursday. The new handheld, which Dell has said will be thinner and lighter than its current device, the Axim X5, will be the first Dell handheld to come with wireless capabilities. Documents the Federal Communications Commission issued this month suggest that Dell will market two versions of the Axim X3--one with wireless and one without. The more expensive of the two will likely cost about $325. It is expected to include a faster processor and 802.11 wireless connectivity. The Axim X3 without wireless connectivity is expected to cost about $200. "
You can already see pictures of it on Dell's site with a "Coming Soon" caption.

Hmm. There's going to be some overlap here with X5 basic already priced at $199. Unless perhaps Dell plans to cut that by a few bucks.
Still, you gotta love Dell's aggressive pricing on the WiFi model! $325? Look out, PalmOne, HP, Toshiba, and Sony. Dell is knocking down price barriers once again.

I knew they wouldn't let me down with the prices Come January, looks like I'll have my new device!
I'm sure the X5 will drop in price too, I'd guess $50.

So will this $325 model have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi or just Wi-Fi? If the former, they may get my money.

The article suggests that the 200 dollar one will only have 32 Mb of Memory and 300 MHz. Why would I want to get this product if I can get a H1935 for $200 with 64 mb of memory? (Granted they are different processors).

Oh well the Dell will be $200 before rebate, probably $150 after. So you get less memory, but a better processor and $50 cheaper

After having an e310 for a year or so, I've realized 32 Mb isn't enough. I was hoping they would have a non- WiFi model with 64 Mb. I'd get that for sure.

Isn't the H1935 for a limited time only....they only made so many and that is it?
