Default PC Magazine Reviews Pocket PC 2003 Devices

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,414...,1138704,00.asp

This isn't that new, but if you're looking for several reviews of Pocket PC 2003 devices in one article, you might want to check this out -- they cover the four new iPAQs, the refreshed Axim, and the two new Toshibas.

"If you're an enterprise user looking for better security, a multimedia enthusiast seeking a more powerful mobile experience, or a wireless user looking for a handheld way to connect, Windows Mobile improves the Pocket PC PDA platform significantly. Pocket PC 2002 PDA owners can upgrade the OS through manufacturer's programs, with details to be announced. That said, Pocket PC 2002 users who are currently happy with the functionality of their PDAs probably will find no compelling reason to upgrade. But overall, Windows Mobile is a balanced upgrade from the earlier Pocket PC OS."

I'd repeat what I'd said a few front-page posts down but I don't want to cross-post, so here's the link: http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/foru...=137608#137679

I'm surprised Ed or somebody hasn't ripped into this particularly juicy "big-media" clumsiness example

Bitequator, I am glad that you spoke up here. I simply had to stop reading the review. It is so full of misinformation and generally bad writing that I felt insulted while reading it.

I did just edit out of this reply, however, a diatribe against lazy research and bad writing in consideration of anyone who might take it personally. I did expect more out of a reputed magazine than this review.

I am rather new to giving my attention to PPC online community but from I have seen, the community deserves a lot better than what the reviewers are giving it.

The h1940 uses a USB cable for data synchronization. Its 3.5-inch transflective display is significantly larger than the h1910's 2.5-inch screen, which is helpful when viewing data but even more appreciated when viewing digital images. We found the display to be extremely bright and crisp.
This is the most funny part. A mini pocket PC with 2.5 inch display 8O
