Default The Tech Zone Reviews an HP iPaq H1910

http://www.thetechzone.com/display.php?i=276&p=1

Moto over at The Tech Zone has published a very thorough review of the iPAQ 1910. It seems a little odd to be just publishing a review of a device that's now a generation behind the current 1940, but there are some good deals to be had on the 1910, and if Windows Mobile 2003 upgradability doesn't factor into your buying decision, this is a great device!

"I have always like Pocket PC over Palms. Every since Microsoft invited me down to their world headquarters in Redmond, WA to show me the first Pocket PC nearly three years ago, I have been a big Pocket PC fan and always recommended a Pocket PC over a Palm device. However there is one feature that Palm has over the Pocket PC; size. Palms were nice and small and can easily fit into your shirt pocket. The same can not be said about a Pocket PC. That all changed with the introduction of the iPAQ h1910 by HP Invert."

Does anyone know what "HP Invert" means? That reference was lost on me.

Perhaps he meant HP Invent?

On a side note, my wife will be pleased to read this review since we're just now planning to get her one!

It's suppose to read ," Invent."

I love that commercial about the police using HP's to get info faster.

There are a couple pieces of misinformation in the review. He says the user accessible RAM is reduced from 64MB because the ROM is small. Regular PPCT readers know the ROM issue is NAND and not size. He also said that the since serial is unavailable that the only input method is via stylus. Regular PPCT readers know about IR keyboards.

The review was very nice but is was lacking on the technical side. Considering the late release of the review, I imagine the target audience as neophytes and Palm users. In that case, neglecting NAND and IR may be intentional because that audience already thinks PPCs are "so complicated."
