Default T-Mobile Scraps Smartphone Plans

T-Mobile Scraps Smartphone Plans
By the Brighthand News Team
May 15th, 2003

According to Reuters, T-Mobile has decided to scrap its plans to release a T-Mobile branded cellphone powered by Microsoft's Smartphone software. This is yet another blow to the Microsoft's advanced cellphone platform; UK-based Sendo ditched Smartphone for Symbian's mobile operating system earlier this year.

The device, called the SPV and produced by Taiwanese manufacturer HTC, was launched last year by French mobile carrier Orange. However, industry insiders say that T-Mobile experienced numerous software and hardware problems with the device during testing on its GSM/GPRS network.

I read something about this somewhere else - so I think it's true.

Microsoft seems to be missing some large points with their customers in a number of areas.
