I'm buying this laptop for a friend of mine: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=2724160015 Problem is, I'm getting a weird vibe about the seller - no photos of the item at all. I asked for the serial number off the laptop, and the person said it was 970527-00. That doesn't seem long enough to me, yet they don't seem to be able to find it when I asked them to look. Can someone here who owns an older Compaq laptop tell me how many numbers the serial number should have, and where it's located on the laptop?
