Cool, have downloaded and installed the drivers and found the software much easier to use. Now if only I could get the rest of my wireless network to play...

Default Does this also work with the older Spectrum24 High Rate WIRELESS NETWORKER

I own the older Symbol Spectrum24 High Rate WIRELESS NETWORKER 802.11b | 11 Mbps, P/N: LA-4137-1020-WW, S/N: ************,
TYPE: LA-4137.

Do the new drivers work with this older card?

The Readme file states it is solely for the Low Power WLAN card, and so probably wont work with the older model

Default These drivers did the trick

I was having problems with both DHCP and WEP prior to this driver update.
Now both problems are solved.
Yay!

I have the same Symbol type La-4137 and the new driver works fine with it. The multiple profiles is a good update.

I am still having problems reliably connecting to my old 3COM Homeconnect AP with DCHP or it is my HP 568 that I am still waiting on HP to send me new screws to fix it. I am having a soft reset every time I turn it on ops:

Default When will we see this kind of support from other wifi cf card companies?

My company uses Cisco wifi equipments and of course, uses LEAP, and also will move forward to PEAP and other EAP protocols.

I, on the other hand, have a Linksys wcf12 wifi cf card with just regular WEP.

I am now hoping :twak: that since Cisco has acquired Linksys, there will be interest for Linksys in providing drivers that support EAP.

I'm dreaming, aren't I?

I have the old Symbol Card myself. Paid three times what they are worth now, but these drivers work fine for me. They are so much nicer too.

Seems to have sped things up in my informal testing..

And just so everyone knows...this update also enables the Socket Wireless LAN card to work with both Boingo, www.boingo.com, and pocketWiNc, http://www.cirond.com/site/products/wifispotter.htm

SWEET!!
