Default Digital Camera Survey

I'm personally curious about what percentage of you own a digital camera - I remember Microsoft did a survey way back in 2000 that showed around 50% of Pocket PC owners had digital cameras. I suspect the readership of this site will have a much higher precentage. Let's see!

I don't own one yet, but I want to purchase one in 2003. My price limit is about $400 and I want something small and that has a SD slot. Any ideas what to get?

I'd go for something with manual controls and CompactFlash myself. For that you would need one of the Canon Sxx cameras (S30, S40, S45, S50).

I currently own a Casio Exilim EX-S2

Some cool cameras coming out soon.

The Casio Exilim EX-Z3

The Pentax Optio S

As you can see, I'm more into the super small, portable cameras. Until PPC makers can integrate at least a 2.0MP digi cam into their designs, seperate devices is the way to go for me.

I'm surprised Jason didn't have a "more than one" category in the survey.

Or a selection for "Yes I own one, AND plan on buying one in 2003."

Well, SOMEONE is always surprised we didn't add SOMETHING to the survey. Maybe we should have surveys before each survey so everyone can vote on what options they'll be able to vote on...

I simply wanted to know how many of you owned at least one digital camera - period. It's impossible to explore every facet of a question in a simple "pick one option" list, so please trust me when I say that the survey will accomplish exactly what I wanted to know. M'Kay?

I have one but it is only because my cheapo Samsung 35MM door broke in late 2000. If that still worked, I'd still be using it. Some thigns I am so up to date on, like software, Pocket PCs, etc. Others like TVs, cameras and stereo equipment I couln't give a flip. Our stereo at home is from 1986 except for the 1992-3 CD 7-disc changer.
