Syncalot - New Content Delivery System
It seems there's another competitor to Mazingo/AvantGo brewing.
"Syncalot is a new Web-to-PDA syncing solution for Pocket PC and Palm Pilot users and is a content delivery system for PDA formatted web sites. Syncalot is currently seeking PDA formatted web site submissions to add to its growing database of sites. Webmasters, marketers, and site administrators of web sites with PDA friendly versions are encouraged to add their site to the channels of web sites supported by Syncalot, thereby allowing their web content to be delivered and synchronized on user selected channels daily."

Their software is not up yet for end-users, but if you're a developer or a website operator that's interested in using their service, check it out. Some details are available on their developer page.

Ooh..this looks promising. Mazingo sucks, and I don't believe AvantGo's consumer service will be around much longer.
Can't wait to try this client out. 8)

I really liked Mazingo when it first came out. Since the switch to the DVP edition (or whatever it's called), however, I've had nothing but trouble with my syncing, especially on the text stuff. Seems like a lot of the URLs they have set up for the text channels have gone bad, and nothing ever gets fixed. Plus, the PPC client is slow as hell on my Axim, even when it's clocked up to 500MHz.
If this thing comes to market, I hope they do some serious QC on it. I'd settle for fewer bells and whistles in exchange for a more solid platform.

New Service Like Mazingo/Avantgo
Boy do I hear you guys! I liked Mazingo until the big change and then had nothing but problems. Lots of blank web pages etc... Syncing was a nightmare. So I cancelled and asked for a refund and was told sorry you paid a year ahead of time and you already got your moneys worth by doing so. Bottom line was no refund for unused service. Well no more business from me no matter what they get working. Not a great way to treat their customers especially when they pay a year ahead of time.
I was just about ready to go back to Avantgo (no joy with limits) and then I read a thread about ISLO and it's desktop counterpart ISLO-X. Sure glad I read about it. It's awsome! It more than fullfills my neads and IM in control of what I want, how much I want and it's a lot quicker than Mazingo. You guys should give it a try. IM not affilliated with them and at less then $20 for the software and never have to pay again is a great bargin. I couldn't be happier.
Just a suggestion to any that like web content on you Pocke PC.

Speaking of this type of product ...
Has anyone tried Sync & Go from Microsoft's Plus! Digital Media Edition?
Any thoughts?

Haven't tried Sync & Go, but I was thinking of iSilo. Brian, can you describe it a bit more? I looked at http://www.isilo.com/index.htm but couldn't figure out how you'd use it to replace AG or Mazingo.
EDIT: Never mind, I finally found the tutorial on the site. Maybe I'll try the demo...
