Default Arachnoid Clone From Spb Software House

http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&platformId=2&productType=2&catalog=0&sectionId=0&productId=46966

Spb Software House, the creators of the Full Screen Keyboard, Palbum Suite and GPRS Monitor (among others), has just launched a new Arachnoid clone, Arkaball.

The game includes a total of 50 levels, each one filled with a number of bricks of different types. Some bricks throw out different items that can be either valuable or dangerous.

Other functions include:

 Expanding paddle
 Explosive bricks
 Sticky paddle
 Splitting balls
 Falling bricks
 And much more...

You can download a free trial version of the game or purchase the full version for $9.95 using the link above.

UPDATE: SPB Software House also has a contest going to promote this game:

"Together with the release of the game, Spb Software House announces a contest: the first three Arkaball players who complete all the 50 levels (or the players who achieve the highest score in 1 week if no one completes the entire game) will get Griffin Technology's Total Remote solution for Pocket PC." Details are here.

Default Contest, too

This was on PocketGamer.org:
Quote:
Vassili Philippov from Spb Software House got in touch with me to announce a competition. The first three people to complete the game or, failing that, the three people to achieve the highest scores, will each win a Total Remote, an innovative device that allows "your favorite Pocket PC to function as one master control for all your remote controlled devices."

What's unique about it is the product's "unique Infrared Transmitter Module (ITM) [that] allows you to control infrared devices from nearly 100 feet away. Designed specifically for Pocket PCs, it uses the audio port to send infrared commands to any device that can be controlled via IR. Its patent-pending design gives users up to 3 times greater range than standard remotes." Not only that, but it isn't available publicly yet, so if you win, you'll be one of the first people in the world to get your hands on one. The deadline for the competition is a week from now, so there's no time to lose!
That Total Remote is from this pocketpcthoughts article: http://pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4362

Isn't this a clone of Arkanoid?

Thanks. I just came across this part of the announcement myself. I'll add it to the post.
