Default 2002 Pocket PC Community Outstanding Achievement Awards

http://www.pocketpcmag.com/Jan03/winners.asp

At the Pocket PC Summit last year, I was surprised to receive an award for "Pocket PC Community Outstanding Achievement" along with Chris De Hererra, Dale Coffing, and Derek Brown. This year, along the other deserving winners, is our very own Ed Hansberry! Give it up for Ed and the MVPs! Woo hoo! (sounds like a 50's doo-wap group, doesn't it? "Ed and the MVPs")

"These annual awards are given to individuals and their organizations whose extraordinary contributions benefits the entire Pocket PC Community.

Ed Hansberry, as the representative of all MVPs, for their ongoing assistance to Pocket PC users online.
Cindy Box and the HP Smart Handhelds team, who have sold over 2 million iPAQs.
Beth Goza of Microsoft for her tireless work evangelizing the platform.
Mark Winstanley and John Tidwell for bringing together the community at Pocket PC Summit."

Wow. Congrats, Ed.

I jokingly dubbed you EdBot because of your rapid fire postings over at another PDA site, but I had no idea you were performing a valuable service.

Congratulations on being recognized for your community-building efforts.

Ed

Congrats. Considering some of the s**t and aggravation you suffer on the PocketPC usegroup, this is a well earned award for you and the other guys.

Hope the hangover isn't too bad :?

Thanks Scott and everyone else. I had no clue I'd won or was even under consideration 'til Jason pinged me this morning with the announcement. Yeah, I spend even more time in the .pocketpc* newsgroups on MS's NNTP server than I spend on the web and PPCT, and that is pure help. Well, 95% help and some banter.

I wasn't sure if your rabble-rousing on PIC was factored in.
