I tried the demo version and the graffics are good, but my pitchers can throw a strike to save their live, therefore nobody was hitting and I could not see any action in the field

Baseball Addict is probably the best game I own right now! It's great! I get plenty of action in the field and the balance seems just right.

My only wish is that I have more control of my team roster. Seems like I can only switch my pitchers. Hmmm. Will have to dig a little deeper.

Otherwise, I highly recommend this game to any baseball fan. Well done, Hexacto!

A bit pricey. But I've paid that before for quality games (FIFA, Ultima...). Baseball Addict is worthy of the high price, even more than the others.

The game is great. I would pay 14.99 for it, but 30.00. No way. You are buying a download. No packaging, no manual, no nothing. Just the game. While I applaud hexacto for their awesome graphics, great game play and addictive factor, it is way too much. I am sorry, they would sell a lot more games if they just lowered their prices. We shouldnt allow this by supporting such expensive games. Before you know it, all PPC titles are 30 bucks and up. It would also help on the illegal copies of this game out therer :wink:

Fattizzi, you hit the nail on the head. Game publishers are free to charge whatever they want for their products. It is up to the consumer to decide whether it is a fair price. That's kinda part of capitalism.

So obviously, they are making money on their products if they can keep charging $30 per game. I'm guilty. I bought the game. And I would buy it again. I feel it's worth it. Maybe others don't. Their choice.

Now if they were charging this price with NO DEMO, then I would have a problem with it. I played the demo for a few innings and was hooked. So I shelled out the money within 30 minutes of downloading the demo. Some companies charge $30+ and don't have a demo available. That's either bad marketing, or the game is not good enough to shine in a demo and they just want to get the quick bucks from hype and leave it at that.

Hexacto has done great things for the PDA space, and I like to support their efforts so they continue. Super quality+downloadable demos=sale!

Don't get me wrong...I wish it was $15. But if you put all the PDA games out their on a quality scale, Hexacto games stand out as one of the best, and merits the highest price relative to the rest. Just my $.02

fgarcia10, here's what I do for pitching:

First, realize that the strike zone is the entire dark box next to the batter. It's not just the red box inside. The red box is the batter's "hit zone" (my term). Basically the batter needs to get the ball in the red zone for contact to be made.

For pitching, select a pitch type (fastball, slider, etc.) Then tap and hold inside the dark box, usually towards the corners to make it more difficult. Let go when the power bar is where you want it. I usually like to max out the power bar (it turns red). But be careful...if you hold it too long, the power bar starts over and you may throw a very slow ball instead.

If you pitch inside the batter's red zone, there's a good chance he will hit it, and hit it well. Aim for the edges of the dark box. I also like to mix up the pitches, so I'll throw a fastball at maximum power to the lower right corner, then a slider to the lower left.

Also, if you aim OUTSIDE the dark box, you will pitch a ball, never a strike unless the batter swings. Keep the pitches in the strike zone and you should be ok.

That's how I do it, and it seems to work ok. I get strikeouts, but I also give away hits, so it's a good mix. Hope this helps!

Hexacto have 14 or so people working on one game, and they made a VERY professional game, reminded me of the classic Bases Loaded. It's worth $30 considering how many people they have to pay, and the sheer prefessionalism of the game.
