PDA Gerbil sent me this link to a rather amusing Salon.com story. If you've ever registered a domain name based on a "bright idea", this is for you. I'm one of those people, at one point owning 40+ domain names. Every idea, a new domain. At the time, you think "It's brilliant! I can't lose!". Later you think "What the hell was I thinking?". If that's you, this is your article. And if you see your domain mentioned, hey, at least you got some fame for not actually doing anything.
Hahahah, thats a great read. I particularly found this domain name ammusing: "IHateAndrewSalkeldTheFatUglyGreasyStarTrekLovingWanker.com" I was laughing throughout the whole article. Who actually registers these names??
The whole article was really funny, though it was a bit sad as well. There are 15 Million lapsed domain names at any one time! That's a lot of lost dreams (though some seemed to be nightmares!). Still - what were some of those people thinking?????
